What changed

A rolling median/MAD filter suppresses isolated spikes without smearing breath shape.

A slow adaptive baseline removes sensor drift before breath boundaries are detected.

Flatline, clipping, extreme noise, and implausible respiratory-rate windows are excluded and reported.

Hann-windowed, overlapping spectra reduce leakage and prevent a single transient from dominating the night.
